Description:
The Knokploeg sound mod replaces and adds new weapon, explosion, sonic whizzby, bullet hit, gear, player and other sounds to the Hell in the Pacific mod.
Features:
- new gun, cannon and explosion sounds
- added new (and more specific) supersonic effects for guns, cannons, projectiles and explosions
- new player gear, movement and footstep sounds, separate sets for allies and axis
- new and more bullet hits and whizzes
- new player hit and hurt sounds
- new ambient voices sounds for Commonwealth troops (Ozzies now..) and the US troops
- new Japanese combat-mode voices
- new death music

Hell in the Pacific 0.5 beta release
Hell in
the Pacific 0.5 beta release
Finally
after many years of development, we witness the first release of Hell
in the
Pacific,
a mod that tries to cover the events that took place in Asia and the
Pacific
during
the Second World War.
We
decided to give our first release the rather arbitrary version number
0.5. We felt the
need
to release the mod now for various reasons, but would like to point
out that the
mod
is still in beta phase as there are many unfinished and missing
things we have yet
to
implement.
This
first release is dedicated to land combat in the Pacific and the
India/Burma
theatres,
mainly on the finished or at least almost finished maps 'Tarawa',
'Peleliu' and
'Kohima
Ridge'.
We
will include other WIP islands as well, so you can see what we are
working on.
The
same is true for many of the air and sea components of the mod. These
things are
still
in beta stage of development, but will be included as some sort of
sneak peek
or
preview.

Requirements
& Installation
Hell
in the Pacific requires:
-
(CO; this is ArmA 2 and the Add-on Operation Arrowhead combined into one game)with at least Patch 1.62
Installation:
If
you are installing the archive version of Hell in the Pacific:
-Extract
the archive and copy its contents (the mod folder) to your ArmA 2
main folder.
-Get
more information on how to use mod folders on Armaholic.
If
you are using programs like Yoma or Six Updater, follow the
instructions provided by
their
respective authors.
Startup
parameter example:
"C:\Program
Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2OA.exe" -nosplash

We
will host a release event on Friday, details to follow.
If
you want to have a go at Hell in the Pacific,
and
want to virtually punish those responsible for that mod,
jump
on board the official release event server and start the punishment !

One of the two release events will take place on ForgottenHope Warzone,
our worthy beta-tester's community.

Hell in the Pacific 0.5 beta release preview
Finally after many years of development, we witness the first release of Hell in the
